HYVET is designed to observe the benefits and risks of reducing blood pressure in very elderly hypertensives (aged 80 or more)
HYVET is the largest clinical trial in very elderly hypertensives
3845 patients are participating in the HYVET study
These patients are from 11 different countries
HYVET also includes major sub-studies, looking at cognitive function after intervention, fractures, quality of life, and arterial function
HYVET is an international trial
